Back to Basics in Our Schools

Our government is updating Ontario’s Secondary School Diploma, for the first time in 25 years, to ensure students have the skills to be prepared for life beyond the classroom. It’s a back-to-basics plan.

We’re prioritizing:

  • A new modernized “Home Economics” course;
  • Career pathways for Grade 9 and 10 students; including career coaching, revamped guidance and exposure to skilled trades;
  • And we’re introducing a new financial literacy requirement for secondary students.

This is in addition to keeping cellphones “out of sight and out of mind” in the classroom, revamping the curriculum and focusing on reading, writing and math.

Our plan is an all in effort to ensure students graduate with practical learning that leads them to better jobs and bigger paycheques.

If you would be interested in volunteering to support this wonderful and very important cause,  make a donation if you have not already done so, or share what the Ontario PC Party is working on, it would be greatly appreciated.

Please chip in whatever you’d like for this cause

Please feel free to reach out to us at any time to volunteer in any activities.

Thank you so much,
